Dear Readers,
We all know I dislike capitalism—like, a lot. Of course, I buy stuff, though. I do like THINGS, you know? And I do really enjoy gift giving, whether I’ve made the gift or bought the gift. I made you two lists here. The first is FREE stuff you can do for others (or mostly free). The second is a list of things that cost money but are mostly locally made by super rad folks.
What would you add to either list?
No Cost (or Low Cost) Gift Giving!
Write a short poem or love note
Make something creative (a collage perhaps?) out of a picture/s of you and the person you’re gifting to
Sign a buddy up to be a pen-pal to someone who is incarcerated (maybe gauge first if they like the idea of being a pen-pal, etc)
Tell a friend you’ll donate any books they have that fit the criteria to LGBT Books to Prisoners project
A book you already own that you think would resonate with a loved one
Bake a yummy treat
Make a snowglobe
Knit/sew something (if you have the resources!)
Make a homemade oracle or affirmations deck
Give the gift of an experience (snowshoeing, ice skating, hiking)
If You Wanna Spend Money Gift Giving!
(FYI: I have no affiliate links or sponsorships from anything listed here)
