What are they escaping from? They've lived a blessed, blessedly sterile life, and its been too boring. Yet the mode they choose for "adventure" is neither exploration, nor adventurous, and it's not supposed to be dangerous. Paying someone to take them to Antarctica or to the bottom of the sea or something and making sure they survive is more of the same for them.
